Position Summary
The Pourline Process Engineer Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing pourline production operations from a process engineering perspective. This role manages a team of 5–10 technicians and is accountable for day-to-day production performance, process optimization, and overall process health. Responsibilities include adjusting production schedules to maximize yield, driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining stable, efficient manufacturing operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of required safety equipment in accordance with job safety analyses and departmental procedures
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements and company quality policies, ensuring adherence to established work instructions and procedures
- Lead and manage the pourline process engineering team, including:
- Assigning work and priorities
- Coaching, mentoring, and training team members
- Supporting professional development and cross-training
- Oversee and optimize production schedules to improve yield, throughput, and overall process efficiency
- Develop, modify, and enhance reporting systems to support new processes, materials, and product specifications
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of new machinery and process systems
- Drive process improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction
- Author, review, and update standard operating procedures and process documentation
- Ensure personnel are properly trained on processes, equipment, and procedures
- Lead the development and modification of formulations to meet customer and organizational requirements
- Promote and enforce 5S and workplace organization standards within the department
- Ensure the pourline area remains clean, organized, and compliant with operational standards
- Coordinate cross-training across roles to support operational flexibility
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production leadership to ensure overall process stability
- Perform additional duties as assigned by plant leadership
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has direct supervisory responsibility for a team of approximately 5–10 employees. Responsibilities include workforce planning, performance management, training, coaching, and ensuring adequate coverage to meet production demands.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
OR - A minimum of 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within a process-driven or polymer-based environment
- Prior experience in a lead, supervisory, or management role preferred
