The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Relocate and stack containers within the intermodal yard, ensuring accurate placement. • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to guarantee safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks and movements. • Maintain a secure and organized work environment by adhering to all safety protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety procedures and a keen eye for detail. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
