The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostler vehicles.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics operations.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety protocols and a clean work environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including 2nd shift, day shift, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
