The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to efficiently move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely freight movement.
• Safely position and organize containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• A strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
