Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a highly visible and complex cybersecurity transformation initiative within a Cyber Defense environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Cyber Defense, Threat Operations, Incident Response, and Security Engineering teams to coordinate project delivery, oversee reporting and metrics, and ensure alignment across multiple parallel workstreams while maintaining ongoing SOC operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex cybersecurity transformation project involving the replacement of an existing SOC provider with a more AI-focused security operations model.
  • Coordinate activities across Cyber Defense, Threat Operations, Incident Response, Security Engineering, and supporting IT teams.
  • Track project deliverables, milestones, risks, dependencies, and action items.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, executive updates, dashboards, and key metrics.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Leverage Jira for project tracking and workflow management and Confluence for documentation and knowledge management.
  • Support both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies depending on team requirements, with Agile being the primary delivery model.
  • Ensure operational continuity while the new SOC model operates in parallel with existing security operations.
  • Assist with governance, planning, issue resolution, and stakeholder management across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of Project Management experience supporting cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity operations and security monitoring environments.
  • Experience working with:
    • Security Operations Centers (SOC)
    • Network Operations Centers (NOC)
    • Cyber Defense teams
    • Incident Response organizations
  • Familiarity with:
    • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
    • Security logging and monitoring tools
    • Cybersecurity operations processes and workflows
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence in enterprise environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing large, complex initiatives with multiple concurrent workstreams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting SOC modernizations, security transformations, or managed security service provider transitions.
  • Exposure to AI-driven security operations or cyber defense technologies.
  • Background in enterprise Microsoft environments.
  • Experience working with distributed technical teams and security operations organizations.
