Job Description

Role: Technical Project Manager

Location: San Jose CA (Hybrid)

Duration: Long Term.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale Agile software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, driving end-to-end project delivery, and ensuring successful execution of complex enterprise programs. Prior experience working with Cisco Systems, particularly within the CCW (Cisco Commerce Workspace) organization, is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage large-scale Agile projects from initiation through successful delivery.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, engineering teams, and leadership to define project scope, priorities, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports.
  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor project progress, budget, resource allocation, and delivery milestones.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality deliverables and on-time releases.
  • Communicate project status, issues, and executive-level updates to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to Agile best practices, governance, and project management standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of Technical Project Management experience managing enterprise software development projects.
  • Strong experience leading large Agile/Scrum projects with distributed engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, release management, and software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with Cisco Systems, preferably within the CCW (Cisco Commerce Workspace) organization.
  • PMP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or SAFe certification is a plus.
  • Experience managing cloud, enterprise application, or digital transformation projects is desirable.
