Project Engineer (Rail)

ALink Recruitment are working with a medium sized engineering and project management consultancy based in Canary Wharf, looking for a handful of Project Engineers with a strong rail background.<br />Day-to-day you will be involved in the design, engineering and project management of infrastructure projects based in the UK.

You will be required to assist in planning, coordinating and executing engineering projects within your area of expertise, as well as representing at client facing meetings with confidence and credibility.

You will be working closely and directly with external/client staff, key stakeholders and the internal team.<br />· Experience in multidisciplinary environment<br />· Prepare, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects<br />· Prepare technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction<br />· Monitor compliance to applicable codes, standards and specifications<br />· Communicate with the project manager and wider team to provide assistance and technical support<br />Essential Criteria:<br />· Right to work in the UK<br />· Degree in Engineering (Bsc, MSc or MEng)<br />· At least 3+ years of previous professional engineering design/ design management experience on transportation, water, and/or land development projects is required<br />· Experience in the Rail Industry and a sound understanding of the Rail Environment, rules and regulations<br />· Experience and good knowledge of Network Rail GRIP, PACE and/or TfL Pathway<br />· Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br />· Proven ability to work under pressure within time constraints<br />· Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base<br />· Proven capability to build relationships, be proactive and be part of a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams<br />· Computer literate and good experience of computer software programs such as, MS Office (Word, Excel, Project)<br />Desirable Criteria<br />· AutoCAD drafting and 3D/BIM modelling<br />· Masters of Science Degree in Engineering Subject or related
