Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a Permanent Way (P-Way) track reconfiguration project in Cardiff. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering rail infrastructure projects from initial enquiry through to successful completion. They will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of a P-Way track reconfiguration project.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all project activities from enquiry through to completion and handover.
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, health and safety requirements, and industry best practice.
  • Manage project programmes, budgets, risks, resources, and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery teams.
  • Ensure project objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Essential Requirements
  • Demonstrable experience delivering projects within a rail infrastructure environment.
  • Proven experience managing projects from enquiry through to successful delivery.
  • Strong experience delivering Permanent Way (P-Way) works, including track renewals, track reconfiguration, and/or Switches & Crossings (S&C) projects.
  • Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience managing project costs, programmes, and risk.
  • Good working knowledge of Network Rail standards and the safe delivery of rail infrastructure projects.
