PDI Architect
Location: Houston, TX
Work Arrangement: Remote
Overview
We are seeking a PDI Architect to lead the design, support, and optimization of our retail technology environment. This role will serve as the senior technical expert for PDI Enterprise, retail back-office operations, data integrations, fuel reconciliation, and store technology systems across a multi-site convenience retail operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture, configuration, and support of PDI Enterprise, including pricebook, inventory, loyalty, and fuel reconciliation modules.
- Partner with Retail Operations and Accounting to improve back-office workflows, reporting, invoice verification, and inventory management.
- Design and support PDI reporting solutions, integrations, data flows, and SQL-based processes.
- Provide Tier 2 support for retail technologies including Gilbarco Passport POS, FP6 dispensers, InSite360, Engage Media, and store networks.
- Manage vendor relationships, escalations, upgrades, and platform enhancements.
- Develop SOPs, technical documentation, and support compliance reporting requirements.
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for escalated support issues.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on PDI Enterprise experience within convenience retail, petroleum, or fuel distribution environments.
- Strong expertise in fuel reconciliation, inventory management, pricebook administration, and retail operations.
- Advanced SQL and systems integration experience.
- Deep knowledge of Gilbarco Passport POS and retail technology ecosystems.
- Proven ability to work directly with Operations, Accounting, vendors, and executive leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PDI InSights, MarketLink, and RSM.
- Knowledge of Veeder-Root, DTN pricing platforms, and EDI integrations.
- Experience with Scale Computing Edge, networking, and retail infrastructure.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ManageEngine ServiceDesk.
- Experience supporting multi-site retail or petroleum operations.
Additional Details
- Houston-based candidates are expected to work 4 days onsite and 1 day remote.
- Remote candidates must be open to quarterly travel to Houston and West Coast locations.
- This is a contract-to-hire opportunity.
