Role Name: IT FinOps Lead
Location: West Palm Beach, FL - 33401( Hybrid - 2-3 Days onsite)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid preferred; onsite candidates highly preferred. Remote candidates must be willing to travel up to 25%.

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT FinOps Lead to drive technology cost management, financial transparency, and cloud cost optimization across a large enterprise IT environment. This role will focus primarily on AWS cloud spend and SAP S/4HANA financial and licensing management, while also overseeing IT budgets, forecasting, software and SaaS expenses, vendor contracts, and financial reporting.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial management expertise with hands-on cloud cost optimization experience and an understanding of SAP licensing and subscription models. You will work closely with IT leadership, Cloud and Infrastructure teams, SAP Basis, the SAP Center of Excellence (CoE), Procurement, Finance, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead IT FinOps practices, frameworks, and enterprise-wide technology spend visibility.
  • Manage IT operating and capital budgets, rolling forecasts, expense tracking, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and optimize AWS spending using AWS Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports (CUR), AWS Budgets, resource tagging, Savings Plans, and Reserved Instances.
  • Identify cloud cost-saving opportunities, spending anomalies, underutilized resources, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA financial management, including licensing, subscriptions, usage, and consumption analysis.
  • Use SAP for Me or SAP ONE Support Launchpad for license, contract, consumption, and billing management.
  • Manage software and SaaS spending, license optimization, IT asset records, hardware, and telecom costs.
  • Review vendor contracts, statements of work, invoices, renewals, and contracted rates.
  • Develop executive dashboards, financial reports, and showback/chargeback models using Excel and BI tools.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, SAP teams, cloud infrastructure teams, and business process owners.
  • Help establish and mature the internal FinOps Center of Excellence (CoE), improving governance and reducing reliance on external consulting partners.
  • Communicate financial insights and cost optimization recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT financial management, FinOps, or enterprise technology cost management.
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS cloud spend and cost optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cost Explorer, Cost and Usage Reports, AWS Budgets, tagging strategies, Savings Plans, and Reserved Instances.
  • Experience supporting the financial management of SAP environments, including SAP S/4HANA licensing and subscription models.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP for Me or SAP ONE Support Launchpad.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, software licensing, and SaaS costs.
  • Experience reviewing vendor contracts, invoices, renewals, and statements of work.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Amazon QuickSight, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or equivalent cloud certification.
  • Technology Business Management (TBM) certification.
  • Experience with Apptio, CloudHealth, Cloudability, or similar IT financial management platforms.
  • Experience building FinOps governance frameworks or an internal Center of Excellence.
