About the Opportunity
A leading global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Governance Manager to join its expanding private markets platform in London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the governance and oversight of a complex portfolio of fund and corporate structures across Europe while supporting the continued growth of a highly successful private credit business.
Working closely with senior legal, compliance and business stakeholders, you will help drive best practice governance standards, support strategic initiatives, and ensure robust entity management across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide governance and company secretarial support for a range of regulated and unregulated entities across Europe.
- Coordinate board and committee activities, including meeting preparation, governance records and action management.
- Support the establishment and ongoing maintenance of investment fund and corporate structures.
- Manage relationships with external corporate service providers and other key business partners.
- Assist with entity management, statutory compliance and corporate governance processes.
- Partner with legal and business teams on strategic projects, transactions and business initiatives.
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
Ideal Background
- Qualified governance professional, Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualified, or equivalent.
- Demonstrable experience within company secretarial, governance or entity management functions.
- Prior exposure to private credit, private funds, asset management or broader financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and legal entity management.
- Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, commercially minded and comfortable operating with autonomy.
- Experience using governance technology platforms and electronic document management systems.
