Salary: £14.87 per hour
Hours: 10 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 7.00am to 9.00am
Contract: Permanent | Term Time

Are you passionate about working with children and creating a positive start to their day? Oakfields Preparatory School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club Assistant to join our friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important role in pupils' daily school experience, providing a safe, welcoming and engaging environment before the school day begins. You'll help children settle into their morning routine, enjoy a healthy breakfast, socialise with friends and start the day feeling happy, confident and ready to learn.

Working alongside a dedicated team, you'll help deliver high-quality breakfast club provision while maintaining the highest standards of care, wellbeing and safeguarding.
What you will be doing
- Welcoming and supervising pupils before the start of the school day.
- Preparing and serving healthy breakfasts and refreshments.
- Creating a warm, friendly and inclusive environment for all children.
- Supporting a range of fun, calm and age-appropriate morning activities.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and social interaction.
- Supporting pupils' wellbeing and helping them start the day positively.
- Maintaining attendance records and following safeguarding procedures.
- Assisting with the set-up and tidy-up of the breakfast club area.
What you will bring
- A genuine passion for working with children.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- The ability to remain calm, positive and professional in a busy environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child wellbeing.
Experience working with children in a childcare or school setting is desirable with an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, or a related qualification.
