The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to manage shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks accurately and safely.
• Position and relocate containers and chassis within the yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screening.
