The Role

• Define and implement cybersecurity policies, standards, and design patterns for multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead working groups to drive the adoption of cybersecurity guidelines across architecture and engineering teams.
• Develop secure design patterns for engineering teams based on established standards.
• Analyze potential risks to information systems and recommend innovative security solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and scalable release processes with security embedded.
• Engage with business and engineering teams to define guardrails for secure design patterns.
• Participate in incident response to identify design gaps and propose preventative solutions.
• Research and evaluate emerging security trends, threats, and technologies.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 4 years focused specifically on cybersecurity.
• Practical expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, services, and on-premises infrastructure.
• Proven ability to articulate cybersecurity policies and procedures to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong consultative skills for navigating complex and potentially controversial topics.
• Knowledge of current cybersecurity architectures (e.g., zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, virtualization, containerization).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and deploying solutions in large organizations.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27000, NIST) and industry regulations.
