Principal Cloud Engineer ( local to Parsippany, GA)

Job Summary:
Seeking a hands-on Principal Cloud Engineer with deep Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) expertise to build, enhance, and support enterprise-scale cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Terraform/IaC, CI/CD, automation, Git/GitOps, and cloud-native architecture experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and support enterprise-scale Google Cloud Platform environments.
• Develop reusable cloud infrastructure and self-service platform solutions.
• Build and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop automation for provisioning, governance, security, and reliability.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Artifactory.
• Implement Git and GitOps practices.
• Write scripts and code to automate cloud operations.
• Support cloud-native, scalable, secure, and resilient architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure and production issues.
• Establish cloud governance for security, compliance, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams.
• Maintain documentation using Jira and Confluence.
• Mentor engineers and establish cloud engineering best practices.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of cloud architecture/engineering experience.
• Extensive hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code (IaC) expertise.
• Strong Git/GitOps and software engineering practices.
• Hands-on cloud automation and scripting.
• Enterprise CI/CD, Jenkins, and Artifactory experience.
• Cloud-native architecture, scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
