Entry Level Accounting Specialist (Finance)

Job Description
The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting needs of a fast-paced residential construction company. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and is comfortable working with multiple projects simultaneously.

Perform daily bookkeeping and general accounting functions
Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the month-end close
Track job costs and assist with construction accounting
Maintain vendor files, W-9s, and subcontractor records
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Prepare spreadsheets and financial analyses using Google Sheets
Support year-end tax preparation and coordinate with the company's CPA
Perform other accounting an dadministrative duties as assigned
3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or homebuilding experience preferred)
~ Advanced Google Sheets and spreadsheet skills
~ Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
~ Experience with residential construction or homebuilding accounting
Experience working with subcontractors and vendor payments
An associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus
