The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient freight movement.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis accurately within the intermodal yard.
• Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to guarantee safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, work outdoors in various weather conditions, and climb ladders/stairs.
• Open availability for flexible scheduling, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
