Terminologist
LOCATION 100% REMOTE
DURATION 6-12+ Months
INTERVIEW TYPE 2 Rounds

Required qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Establish governance processes and standards for clinical terminology management.
Analyze and map clinical data to industry-standard vocabularies including SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10, and other applicable coding systems.
Partner with product, engineering, analytics, and clinical teams to improve data quality and interoperability.
Define rules and best practices for capturing and maintaining coded clinical data.
Support data modeling, normalization, and terminology alignment efforts across healthcare applications.
Provide guidance related to HL7 and FHIR data standards.
Assist with clinical data onboarding, integrations, and healthcare interoperability initiatives.
Ensure terminology practices remain aligned with evolving healthcare regulations and industry standards.

Required Qualifications
Experience as a Clinical Terminologist, Clinical Informaticist, Health Informatics Consultant, or similar role.
Hands-on experience mapping clinical data to standardized healthcare vocabularies including SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10.
Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7 and FHIR.
Experience establishing terminology governance frameworks and data quality standards.
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting healthcare software, digital health, EMR/EHR, or health data platforms.
Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and interoperability requirements.
Experience with FHIR implementation projects and healthcare API integrations.
Background in outpatient care, rehabilitation, physical therapy, or related clinical environments.
Experience collaborating with product and engineering teams during new feature development.
