The Role

• Operate heavy machinery, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers between railcars, trucks, and storage areas.
• Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using specialized equipment.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to all established protocols.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Open availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
