Position: Controls Retrofit Engineer II
Openings: 3
Experience: 3+ years
Travel: 80%+ travel to Ohio, Michigan, and other states; travel expenses paid.

Role Overview:
Seeking a Controls Engineer with strong Ignition and Allen-Bradley PLC experience to support retrofit projects in a data-center/industrial environment. The engineer will perform PLC programming, Ignition setup, commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, and site startup activities.

Must-Have Skills

  • Allen-Bradley PLC programming
  • Studio 5000 / ControlLogix / CompactLogix
  • Ignition SCADA
  • Hands-on Ignition setup and configuration
  • Configure inputs/tags and display real-time equipment/process data
  • HMI/SCADA development
  • PLC troubleshooting and commissioning
  • Industrial networking
  • Electrical/control systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead medium-complexity controls retrofit engineering projects
  • Perform control system design and control panel engineering
  • Develop and modify PLC/HMI/SCADA programs
  • Configure Ignition tags, inputs, alarms, trends, and visualizations
  • Support installation, startup, commissioning, and testing at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, I/O, networking, and control-system issues
  • Work with material-handling, manufacturing, and logistics automation
  • Prepare technical documentation, test records, and project deliverables
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers, technicians, and engineering teams
  • Apply electrical engineering principles and applicable safety standards
