Senior Project Manager - Whitehaven

Job Description
This role will lead a portfolio of projects and tasks across the full project lifecycle, accountable for scope, cost and schedule management. A key aspect will be developing requests for quotations into scopes for procuring supplier tenders for competed work and evaluating tenders.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the project is delivered safely, within Budget, on programme and to the required Quality
  • Managing a dedicated professional team integrated with the Clients team
  • Ownership of the packages and disciplines
  • Delivering to budget and production targets, programme, and specification
  • Owning the relationship and maintain a liaison with the client and the supply chain
  • Supporting the manager and the staff under your control
  • Maintaining a good working relationship with the Client and associated personnel
  • Being conversant with all drawings, specifications, and relevant information for works package

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
  • Awareness of NEC Form of Contract and Subcontract
  • Understanding of Engineering Principles
  • Technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
  • Significant work experience within a similar role with a main contractor in a highly regulated environment e.g delivery of infrastructure or utiliites
  • Chartered Project Professional or demonstrating working towards achievement
  • Commercially astute with practical experience of budgets, forecasts, contract management, procurement and supply chain performance

Desirable:
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of a nuclear licensed site
  • Proficient with integrating multi discipline teams
  • A recognised project management qualification
