Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer Posted 10/27/2026 Location: Washington, DC Job Type: Full Time Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure automation, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices. This role requires a deep understanding of automation tools, scripting languages, and the ability to design and implement scalable and efficient infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Optimize and enhance existing automation processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automation systems to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in infrastructure automation and cloud technologies.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in automation best practices and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure automation and DevOps practices.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or automation tools (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate).
