Experience:
7+ years integration development, 4+ years hands-on SAP Integration Suite (CPI), hands-on EDI delivery.
Core Focus:
Integration Suite SME: design, standards, build, and support; EDI/B2B with trading partners.
Job Description:
Our client, a global manufacturer, runs SAP alongside a wide range of enterprises, manufacturing, and partner systems.
The Senior SAP Integration Suite & EDI Developer is the client's subject matter expert for SAP Integration Suite.
You will design, build, and support the integrations behind production, supply chain, procurement, finance, and quality, and own the technical delivery of EDI integrations with suppliers, customers, carriers, and banks.
You will set integration standards, review other developers' work, and keep business-critical interfaces reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Suite Expertise:

Act as the technical authority for SAP Integration Suite, including Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and Integration Advisor.
Define integration patterns, naming conventions, error-handling and retry frameworks, and reusable components.
Review iFlow designs and mentor developers.
Design & Build:
Turn business requirements into interface specifications.
Build iFlows connecting SAP S/4HANA and ECC with cloud, On-Premise, and manufacturing systems using IDoc, OData, REST, SOAP, RFC, SFTP, AS2, and JMS adapters, with message mapping, Groovy, and XSLT.
Connect On-Premise systems through SAP Cloud Connector and publish secure APIs through API Management.
PI/PO Migration:
Move interfaces from SAP PI/PO to Integration Suite, redesigning them where needed rather than moving them as-is.
EDI & B2B:
Design and deliver EDI integrations using ANSI X12 and EDIFACT (for example 850, 855, 856, 810, 820, 997).
Map EDI to and from SAP IDocs (ORDERS, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC).
Use Integration Advisor and Trading Partner Management where adopted. Onboard trading partners, including AS2, SFTP, or VAN connectivity, certificate exchange, testing, and go-live.
Operations:
Set up monitoring, alerting, and message tracing.
Lead resolution of production integration incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and hand over runbooks to Production Support.
Security & Compliance:
Apply OAuth, certificate-based authentication, PGP encryption, and manage keys and certificates for partner connections.
Testing & Deployment:
Write unit, integration, and partner test scripts, and deploy through the team's transport and CI/CD process.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of integration development with middleware, including 4+ years of hands-on SAP Integration Suite (CPI) with interfaces delivered to production.
Expert-level iFlow development: adapters, message mapping, Groovy scripting, XSLT, exception subprocesses, JMS or data store retry, and monitoring.
Strong command of IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData, REST, and SOAP, and of XML, JSON, CSV, and flat-file formats.
SAP PI/PO experience and SAP Cloud Connector configuration.
Hands-on delivery of at least one EDI integration with external trading partners, including mapping EDI to and from SAP IDocs (ANSI X12 and/or EDIFACT).
B2B connectivity experience with AS2, SFTP, or VAN, and certificate and PGP key management.
SAP API Management and integration security (OAuth 2.0, certificate-based authentication).
Demonstrated technical leadership: setting standards, reviewing work, and mentoring developers.
Strong written and verbal communication with business, technical, and partner audiences.
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of integration experience, including 3+ years designing and supporting EDI/B2B integrations.
SAP Integration Advisor and Trading Partner Management.
SAP Certified Associate or Professional certification in SAP Integration Suite.
SAP Event Mesh or Advanced Event Mesh, and SAP Edge Integration Cell.

Work Model & Eligibility:
Remote within the United States, with 20 30% travel to the client office, typically for workshops, design sessions, partner go-lives, and cutovers.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
