Delivery Consultant

Project Details

Oxford s client is seeking a Delivery Consultant to design, build, and deploy workflow automation solutions using Generative AI. This is a hands-on, client-facing delivery role requiring someone who has personally built and deployed GenAI-powered workflow automation solutions, rather than simply advised on AI strategy or supported AI initiatives.

The consultant will partner directly with business stakeholders including bookkeepers, controllers, accounting teams, and other business users to understand existing processes, identify automation opportunities, and transform those processes into production-ready GenAI and Agentic AI workflows.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on GenAI delivery experience, workflow/process knowledge, AWS, and data integration skills with the ability to lead workshops and translate business needs into working AI solutions. Financial or accounting experience is a bonus but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements and process maps into functional, production-ready AI workflows.
• Utilize AWS services and cloud infrastructure to support AI development, integration, and deployment.
• Partner with bookkeepers, controllers, accounting teams, product teams, and technical resources throughout solution delivery.
• Design, build, test, and deploy workflow automation solutions using Generative AI and Agentic AI.
• Develop AI agents and automated workflows using technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and open-source GenAI/agent tooling.
• Lead workshops with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes and identify opportunities for GenAI automation.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, whiteboarding, process mapping, and future-state workflow design.
• Test, validate, troubleshoot, and continuously improve GenAI workflows based on business requirements and user feedback.
• Take solutions from discovery and prototype through implementation and production deployment.

Required Background

• Agent Engineering Skill Set: Experience with framework orchestration (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, or visual workflow builders) to construct autonomous pipelines and configure tool contract designs for reliable API executions. Proven expertise in retrieval engineering (RAG) for precise context injection, paired with the ability to implement robust observability and security guardrails to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Workflow Design Experience: Hands-on experience in AI workflow design and implementation, including leading discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders to map current-state processes and identify automation opportunities. Proven ability to test, troubleshoot, and refine AI agents based on business requirements and user feedback to ensure seamless adoption.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain & Business Knowledge: Strong business process analysis skills specifically tailored to accounting and the month-end/year-end book close process are preferred
• Experience automating accounting or financial workflows.
• SQL and/or Python experience.
• Experience with Amazon S3 and AWS data services.
