Program Overview
This role supports Booz Allen Hamilton in an advisory capacity to Space Force leadership across the enterprise space systems ground portfolio. Booz Allen is deeply embedded with Space Systems Command as a ground systems engineering and integration partner, and this Senior Systems Architect sits at the intersection of technical strategy and mission execution — helping the Space Force define architectural direction and ensure complex mission systems integrate successfully across the enterprise. What You'll Be Supporting
You will advise senior Space Force leadership on technical direction for SATCOM and ground system architectures, define system design standards, and ensure interoperability and integration across a complex portfolio of mission-critical space systems. This is a senior-level role that requires someone who can operate at the strategic level while maintaining deep enough technical credibility to influence engineering decisions across the enterprise. Key Duties and Responsibilities
Advise Space Force leadership on technical architecture decisions across the enterprise ground systems portfolio
Define and document system architecture using SysML, UML, DoDAF, UAF, and MBSE frameworks
Ensure integration and interoperability across complex SATCOM and ground segment systems
Translate mission requirements into technical architecture and system design direction
Engage with senior government stakeholders, program offices, and cross-functional engineering teams
Identify architectural risks and provide recommendations to senior decision-makers
Support strategic SATCOM programs including ESS and related NC3 ground architecture efforts
Bridge the gap between software architecture, systems engineering, and mission operations Required Qualifications
10+ years in systems engineering, software architecture, or enterprise architecture
Experience supporting Space Force, Air Force, NRO, or DoD space programs
SATCOM or ground systems experience — AEHF, Strategic SATCOM, MILSATCOM preferred
Familiarity with SysML, UML, DoDAF, UAF, and MBSE
Active TS/SCI clearance required
