The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks as a critical part of daily logistics.
• Drive hostlers to efficiently position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre- and post-use inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate container movements and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs on railcars.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills suitable for teamwork in a logistics environment.
