Job description

Do you love getting technology projects over the line and seeing them change how a business works? Oxworks is looking for an IT Projects Officer to help deliver the projects that power our next stage of eCommerce and digital growth.

You'll plan, coordinate and deliver a high volume of technology-enabled projects across the business, with a strong focus on eCommerce: our website, new Trade App and self-service Kiosks, plus the IT systems behind our operations. You'll keep developers, technology partners and our new digital team (E-Commerce Developer, UX/UI Designer, SEO Content Specialist and Digital Content Creator) connected, track and delivering.

What You'll Do:

  • Build a detailed plan for every project, setting out actions, timelines, milestones and resourcing against an agreed delivery date.
  • Coordinate developers and third-party technology partners to deliver eCommerce, IT and business system projects on time, on budget and to quality.
  • Maintain a master Work in Progress scheduler so everyone can see the status of current and upcoming projects.
  • Communicate project purpose, progress, risks and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and the Senior Management Team.
  • Support UX/UI reviews, customer journey mapping and user testing to improve the digital experience.
  • Drive the rollout and long-term adoption of new systems and tools, so they're embraced by users and deliver real benefits.
  • Collect and analyse operational data to inform decisions, measure impact and report on project performance.
  • Champion LEAN tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Root Cause Analysis across eCommerce, IT, HR, Operations and Production.
  • Produce a monthly report of continuous improvement opportunities, quantifying the business and financial return.

About You:

  • You have a proven track record delivering multiple business or technology projects.
  • You've supported eCommerce platforms and digital systems, and you understand UX/UI principles and customer experience design.
  • You've worked with software developers and third-party vendors and know how to keep them accountable.
  • You're an exceptional communicator and relationship builder who can influence senior decision-makers.
  • You're action-oriented, great at juggling priorities, and bring strong financial and business acumen.
  • You're confident with MS Office; experience with SAGE is a bonus.
  • Experience with LEAN or continuous improvement methods is highly sought after.
  • A qualification in IT, Business, Project Management or a related field is desirable.
  • You hold a current driver's licence.
