Job Description

A large enterprise organization is hiring a Threat Hunter to support its cybersecurity team in Iselin, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and investigating potential threats across a large, complex environment while working closely with incident response and security engineering teams.

You will work with Splunk or other SIEM platforms, security logs, endpoint detection tools, and AI-driven security findings. A major part of the role will involve investigating vulnerabilities and suspicious activity, identifying impacted systems, assessing severity and scope, and supporting containment and remediation efforts.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience in threat hunting, SOC operations, cybersecurity operations, or incident response
  • Hands-on experience with Splunk or another SIEM platform
  • Experience investigating and correlating security logs
  • Experience with EDR or endpoint security tools
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability analysis and IOC investigation
  • Experience identifying impacted systems and assessing security risk

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience reviewing findings from AI-driven security or scanning tools
  • Experience with web application or certificate-related security issues
  • Experience working with incident response or DevSecOps teams
  • Experience in a large enterprise security environment

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities
  • Proactively hunt for threats across enterprise infrastructure
  • Investigate SIEM alerts and correlate security events across multiple data sources
  • Analyze endpoint and EDR activity
  • Review and validate findings produced by AI-driven security and scanning tools
  • Investigate vulnerabilities, web application findings, and certificate-related security issues
  • Identify impacted systems and assess severity and scope
  • Support containment, remediation, and escalation efforts
  • Collaborate with incident response, security engineering, and DevSecOps teams
  • Document investigation findings and recommendations
