Position Summary\n The Regional Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary Human Resources representative for an assigned territory, supporting employees and managers across multiple locations.
This position executes and administers all core HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits administration, employee relations, workers' compensation, leave administration, performance management support, compliance, and HRIS record maintenance.\n The Regional HR Generalist partners closely with operational leadership and the corporate office to ensure a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. n Key Areas of Responsibility\n Talent Acquisition & Staffing\n \n Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned territory positions.\n Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies.\n Create and post job advertisements and manage applicant flow through the ATS.\n Screen applicants, coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks, and facilitate hiring decisions.\n Ensure recruiting practices comply with all applicable employment laws and company policies.\n Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure completion of required employment documents.\n Coordinate system access, equipment requests, and training assignments.\n Partner with managers to support successful transition and retention of new hires. \n \n Employee Relations\n \n Serve as the first point of contact for employee and manager HR inquiries.\n Provide guidance on policy interpretation, employee concerns, workplace issues, and corrective actions.\n Conduct workplace investigations and document findings appropriately.\n Partner with leadership to resolve employee relations concerns in a timely and professional manner.\n \n Workers' Compensation & Safety Support\n \n Coordinate workers' compensation claims from injury reporting through claim resolution.\n Partner with Safety and Operations leaders regarding injury investigations and return-to-work efforts.\n Monitor claim status and communicate with employees, supervisors, carriers, and medical providers.\n Support safety initiatives and promote compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements. \n \n Training & Development\n \n Coordinate required compliance and operational training.\n Track training completion and maintain accurate records.\n Partner with managers to identify training needs and development opportunities.\n Assist with implementation of learning and development programs across the assigned territory. \n \n Performance Management & HR Administration\n \n Support annual performance review processes and performance improvement plans.\n Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data accuracy.\n Assist with compensation-related administration and employee data reporting.\n Prepare reports and metrics related to staffing, turnover, training, and workforce trends. \n \n Compliance\n \n Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.\n Assist with implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.\n \n Qualifications\n Education\n \n Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.\n \n Experience\n \n Minimum 2-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.\n Experience supporting multi-site and multi-state operations preferred.\n Experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and workers' compensation required.\n Experience in transportation, logistics, energy, manufacturing, distribution, or field-service environments preferred. \n \n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\n \n Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.\n Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.\n Strong organizational and project management abilities.\n Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.\n Proficiency with HRIS, payroll, ATS, and Microsoft Office applications.\n \n Preferred Certifications\n \n SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP\n PHR or SPHR\n \n Safety Responsibilities\n Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety by complying with all Company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. n Work Environment\n The Regional HR Generalist operates out of three designated locations, depending on assignment and regional alignment.
All three offices serve as home-base hubs for regional travel.\n \n Irving, Texas\n The Irving office serves as a primary hub for operations in the South-Central region.
Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, this location provides convenient access to major transportation infrastructure, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Dallas Love Field (DAL), facilitating efficient travel throughout the region.\n • Full-service office environment with dedicated HR workspace\n • Access to conference rooms and private meeting spaces for confidential employee discussions\n • Proximity to major interstate corridors (I-35E, I-635, SH-114) for regional ground travel\n • Shared services support staff on-site\n \n Albuquerque, New Mexico\n The Albuquerque office anchors HR support for the Southwest region, covering New Mexico and surrounding states.
Albuquerque Sunport International Airport (ABQ) provides direct flight access to key regional markets, minimizing travel time across a geographically expansive territory.\n • Modern office facility with hot-desking and dedicated HR workspace\n • Video conferencing technology available for remote team collaboration\n • Central location within the city with easy highway access via I-40 and I-25\n \n Springfield, Missouri\n The Springfield, Missouri office supports the Midwest regional corridor.
Positioned in the heart of the Ozarks region, Springfield provides access to a broad cluster of mid-sized operations and facilities across Missouri, Arkansas, and neighboring states. n • Hybrid Office environment \n • Centrally located with access to US-65 and US-60 for intra-region ground travel\n Travel Requirements \n Travel is a fundamental component of this role. The Regional HR Generalist is expected to spend approximately 60% of working time traveling to company sites, facilities, and offices within the assigned regional territory.
This equates to approximately three out of every five working days spent traveling or at a location other than the designated home office.\n Nature of Travel\n \n \n Routine site visits to service centers, site locations, and corporate offices\n On-site support for employee relations investigations, performance management meetings, and disciplinary processes\n Attendance at regional manager and leadership meetings\n Delivery of HR training programs, new hire orientations, and policy briefings at field locations\n Support for recruiting activities including on-site interviews and hiring events\n Open enrollment and benefits education sessions across the region\n \n \n Travel Logistics\n Travel is conducted by air and ground transportation, depending on distance and site accessibility.
Mileage reimbursement is available for personal vehicle use in accordance with the current IRS standard mileage rate.
All travel is expected to comply with the company's Travel and Expense Policy.\n \n \n Advance booking required for airfare (minimum 14 days when feasible)\n Company-approved hotel partners preferred for accommodation\n Rental car or personal vehicle reimbursement available per travel policy\n Travel schedule coordinated with regional generalists and HR leadership\n \n \n Planning and Scheduling\n While travel schedules will vary week to week based on business needs, the Regional HR Generalist is expected to plan travel proactively, communicate schedules to the Human Resources Team, and maintain responsiveness to urgent on-site needs.
Some travel may be required on short notice to address time-sensitive employee relations matters or operational situations.\On travel days, the HR Generalist operates from company facilities ranging from service centers to corporate offices.
On non-travel days, the HR Generalist works from the designated home office location.\n Office Days (Approximately 30% of Time)\n \n \n Focused administrative work: HRIS data entry, report generation, documentation, and case management\n Virtual meetings with HR colleagues, regional managers, and corporate partners\n Policy research, compliance review, and project support\n Preparation of training materials, communication drafts, and HR correspondence\n One-on-one phone or video consultations with regional employees and managers\n \n \n Travel Days (Approximately 70% of Time)\n \n \n On-site HR support at regional locations, interfacing directly with employees and supervisors\n Conducting confidential meetings in available private spaces (offices, conference rooms)\n Facilitating group training sessions, town halls, or information meetings\n Partnering with site leadership on workforce planning, engagement, and HR initiatives\n Performing site walk-throughs and observational reviews to assess workforce climate\n \n \n Physical and Environmental Conditions \n Given the range of facilities visited, the Regional HR Generalist may work in varied physical environments, including climate-controlled offices, light-industrial settings, service centers, and outdoor settings.

The role works collaboratively with the broader HR team, Centers of Excellence (Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, and HR Operations), and regional/site leadership.\n Despite the independent nature of field-based work, a team-oriented HR function supports this role.
