Job Title: SQL Server Database Administrator
Location: Atlanta, GA 3100 (Onsite from day 1)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in database management, ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. This role requires a detail oriented professional who can manage database environments and support our development teams in optimizing database performance.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Utilize SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for database design, development, and management tasks.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
- Conduct database migrations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database related issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is a deal breaker.
- Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with SQL scripting and query optimization.
- Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server databases.
- Familiarity with database security practices and compliance standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
- Knowledge of other database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with database monitoring tools and performance analysis.
- Certifications related to SQL Server or database management are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
