Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). The ideal candidate will have 5 7 years of experience in database management, ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. This role requires a detail oriented professional who can manage database environments and support our development teams in optimizing database performance.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Utilize SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for database design, development, and management tasks.
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to enhance efficiency.
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and disaster recovery operations.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Conduct database migrations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.
• Document database configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database related issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to database management.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is a deal breaker.
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and performance tuning.
• Experience with SQL scripting and query optimization.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for SQL Server databases.
• Familiarity with database security practices and compliance standards.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database).
• Knowledge of other database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with database monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Certifications related to SQL Server or database management are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 7 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
