The Role • Operate heavy equipment to safely load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Maneuver hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container stacking and relocation. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements efficiently. • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with established protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this role. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays to support operational needs. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to adhering to safety procedures. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
