The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers within an intermodal yard.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely.
• Perform daily pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all protocols and procedures.
• Play a critical role in ensuring timely freight movement within the supply chain.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays, with open availability.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
