The role

Business Analyst embedded on an Agile team supporting client's portfolio management technology group. Writes detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for portfolio construction, optimization, and tax-efficient investing capabilities, working directly with Portfolio Managers.

Must-haves (all three)

1. Portfolio construction and optimization. Candidate must be able to talk about constraints and objective functions: turnover limits, position bounds, sector caps, tracking error budgets, rebalancing logic.
2. Tax-efficient portfolio management. Tax-loss harvesting, wash sale rules, lot treatment, direct indexing, or tax-managed SMAs.
3. BA craft. Personally writes user stories and acceptance criteria on an Agile team. Not a PM, not a Scrum Master, not someone who governs people who write stories.

Plus: hands-on SQL or Python used in analysis. OCIO or discretionary investment management experience is a strong plus, not required.
