Location: Chicago, IL (preferred), Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX, or Broomfield, CO
Work Arrangement: Hybrid with onsite attendance required for workshops, meetings, and working sessions.Candidates may also work from the office daily if preferred.
Interview Process: One round; virtual/phone panel interview
Candidate Location Requirement: Candidates must already be local to one of the specified locations.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner 3 to support a strategic Dealer Websites program for one of our clients in the industrial and manufacturing industry.
The Product Owner will drive the definition, prioritization, and delivery of digital product capabilities and business features that enhance dealer websites and improve the overall experience for dealers and customers.
This role requires close collaboration with dealers, business stakeholders, UX designers, engineering teams, and product management to translate business needs into clear requirements, maintain a prioritized product backlog, and ensure the delivery of solutions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive product ownership and delivery activities for the Dealer Websites program, supporting execution and successful implementation.
  • Define, document, and prioritize dealer website capabilities, business features, and functional requirements.
  • Support the development of dealer-specific website templates and content authoring capabilities.
  • Enable content syndication from the next-generation corporate website to dealer websites.
  • Define requirements for system integrations, including lead management, service requests, and AI-powered virtual assistant capabilities.
  • Collaborate with dealers, business stakeholders, UX, engineering, and product management to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable solutions.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, stakeholder expectations, dependencies, and delivery priorities.
  • Develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and stakeholder review sessions.
  • Support software testing, solution validation, defect resolution, and release activities.
  • Ensure delivered capabilities meet business and dealer requirements while providing a consistent and scalable digital experience.
  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions, drive timely decision-making, manage dependencies, and mitigate delivery risks.
  • Support dealer adoption and successful rollout of new website capabilities across the dealer network.

Required Qualifications:
Education and Experience

  • Candidates without a bachelor's degree must have at least 7 years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Candidates with a bachelor's and/or master's degree should have 5–7 years of relevant experience in product ownership, business analysis, or a similar capacity.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or in a similar role within a digital product or software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle processes.
  • Proven experience in product backlog management, prioritization, and requirements gathering.
  • Ability to write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and business requirements.
  • Experience supporting software testing, solution validation, defect management, and release activities.
  • Ability to translate business objectives into actionable product requirements and deliverable features.
  • Understanding of cross-functional software delivery processes and system integration requirements.

  • Experience with customer-facing websites, dealer portals, or other digital platforms.

  • Experience defining requirements for system integrations, lead management, service requests, or AI-powered digital assistants.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and support end-to-end product delivery.
  • Experience working with distributed stakeholders and facilitating business and technical discussions.

The Dealer Websites program is expanding its product ownership capabilities to support increased execution and delivery demands.
