Data Center Installation Technician - Fairless Hills, PA
Location: Fairless Hills, PA - 600 Ben Fairless Hills, PA 19030
Contract Duration: 6 months
Positions: Multiple openings
Contract-to-Hire: Potential for high-performing contractors

Degree/Certification: Preferred, not required
Project Overview
We are hiring Data Center Installation Technicians to support a large-scale AI and data center infrastructure deployment in Fairless Hills, PA. Technicians will support the installation of AI/server racks and associated fiber and cabling infrastructure.

This is a hands-on opportunity for candidates with experience in data center cabling, structured cabling, low-voltage installation, telecom, fiber/cable installation, security-camera wiring, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar technical environments.

This is a physical, hands-on data center installation role, not a traditional IT Help Desk position. The team prioritizes safety, ownership, accountability, communication, and continuous learning. Strong performers may have opportunities for contract extensions or conversion to permanent employment.
Work Schedule
Candidates should be flexible to work one of the following schedules:
  • Sunday-Wednesday: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
  • Wednesday-Saturday: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
  • Potential Monday-Friday daytime schedule, 8-hour shifts; exact hours TBD

Schedules may change depending on project requirements.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, telecom, data centers, construction, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics
  • Experience pulling, running, routing, and installing fiber or copper cabling in structured environments highly preferred
  • Basic Layer 1 infrastructure knowledge, including fiber and cabling
  • Data center cabling or rack-and-stack experience preferred
  • Comfortable using a laptop for documentation, ticketing, and inventory activities
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, SOPs, and installation procedures
  • Ability to safely lift and repeatedly move equipment weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver server racks, carts, and equipment as part of a team
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and performing physical installation work for extended periods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines
  • Willingness to learn and follow strict safety procedures
Preferred Background
Candidates with experience as a Data Center Technician, Structured Cabling Technician, Fiber Technician, Low-Voltage Technician, Inside Plant Telecom Technician, Cable Installer, Rack-and-Stack Technician, Telecom Installation Technician, or Security/Access Control Technician are highly encouraged to apply.
What You Will Be Doing
  • Install and position AI/server racks and associated infrastructure
  • Pull, route, organize, and install fiber/cabling
  • Support rack-and-stack and equipment installation activities
  • Dress, label, and organize cabling according to project standards
  • Move server racks, carts, and related equipment safely
  • Follow installation diagrams, work instructions, and SOPs
  • Document completed installation activities
  • Coordinate with technicians, leads, and project teams
  • Maintain strict safety and quality standards
Physical Requirements & PPE
This is a physically demanding role within an active construction/data center environment.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 35 lbs independently, handle heavier equipment as part of a team, work on ladders, and perform activities involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.

Candidates must provide their own composite-toe, over-the-ankle leather work boots.

Steel-toe boots are not permitted.
Interview Process
The interview process consists of a brief 15-30 minute virtual or phone interview to review the position, relevant experience, schedule availability, and overall project fit.
