Purchasing Clerk

We are hiring for a Purchasing Clerk!

This position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Must be able to complete a background check and drug screen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assessing the most cost effective method of purchasing items
Obtaining competitive bids on purchases
Following up on request for quotes and orders
Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures
Appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things. Using mathematics to solve problems related to Unit of Measure and buying vs stocking measurements. Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other organizations to make improvements or take corrective action. Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of internal departments and vendors.
