Quick Overview
Job Description
ABOUT US
Pliant is a modular B2B payments platform that combines commercial card issuing, payment accounts, FX, and spend management in one system — adapting to existing setups rather than requiring customers to replace them.
Businesses across industries such as travel, e-commerce, and insurance use Pliant to manage complex payment workflows with cards, backed by credit lines Pliant underwrites itself.
Fintechs and software platforms embed Pliant's payment infrastructure into their own products, from API-based Cards-as-a-Service to fully white-label solutions. Banks use Pliant's Card & Spend OS, the customer-facing interface, on their own infrastructure to run card programs.
Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Berlin, Pliant serves 5,000+ businesses and 40+ partners across Europe and the United States. A principal member of Visa and Mastercard, Pliant issues commercial cards in 13 currencies across 32 countries — under its own European e-money license and with licensed partners in the UK and US.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently looking for a Partner Success Manager (m/f/d) to join our team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Own the success of a portfolio of strategic partners serving as their primary point of contact, building deep relationships, and making their growth your mission
Drive partner performance through structured QBRs, regular strategic check-ins, and data-driven KPI frameworks that turn collaboration into measurable results
Develop a thorough understanding of each partner's business model, goals, challenges and expectations, and translate that knowledge into tailored strategies that accelerate their success
Identify and pursue upsell and expansion opportunities within your partner portfolio, initiating new projects, and handing them off to or coordinating with the relevant stakeholders
Make high-impact decisions in partnership with your counterparts, bringing the right internal experts (Product, Legal, Compliance, Tech) to the table at the right moment
Build institutional knowledge across your partner accounts so you can navigate complex conversations independently and scale what works across the portfolio
Champion your partners internally, acting as their voice within Pliant to influence roadmap priorities, process improvements, and go-to-market decisions
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
3+ years of experience in Partner Success, Account Management, or Strategic Partnerships — ideally within fintech or a similarly complex B2B ecosystem
A proven track record of managing senior stakeholder relationships, including C-level, across diverse partner business models
Deep familiarity with partnership and embedded finance ecosystems — you understand how banks, fintechs, and SaaS players think and what drives their decisions
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills — you can build trust quickly, navigate difficult conversations, and inspire confidence at every level
A strategic mindset paired with operational discipline — you know how to run a structured account review and turn insights into action
Fluency in English and German; an additional European language is a strong plus
Based in Berlin or Munich, comfortable with a hybrid working model
WHAT WE OFFER
The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence
Attractive remuneration
Your choice of preferred OS, Windows or Mac
Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere
Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals
Flexibility and possibility to work remotely
Monthly mobility benefit
Wellhub Membership
Pliant Card with monthly credit to explore the product and enjoy food with colleagues
