Job Description

Scheduler Contract Role
Location: New Carlisle / South Bend, Indiana
Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States, provided they are highly willing and able to travel to client project sites on a long-term basis.
Client is seeking a highly motivated Scheduler to support major construction and engineering projects in New Carlisle/South Bend, Indiana, with opportunities for candidates anywhere in the U.S. who are willing to travel to client projects on a long-term basis. This is a long term contract position with an estimated 70%+ travel requirement, supporting projects valued at $50M+ across construction, manufacturing, technology, electrical, energy, and infrastructure industries. The role utilizes industry-standard scheduling technologies including Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction Scheduler who wants to take ownership of complex, high-value projects and work directly with owners, general contractors, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, project managers, and superintendents. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving scheduling challenges, analyzing project performance, managing risks and delays, and influencing project outcomes. You'll gain exposure from conceptual planning through engineering and construction, while working in a fast-paced environment where your scheduling expertise can directly impact project success.
Contract Duration: 12-24 months
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of related project scheduling experience
  • Experience scheduling $50M+ construction projects
  • Experience in general construction, electrical construction, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, utilities, communications, buildings, or energy
  • Proficiency in gathering, maintaining, reporting, and analyzing schedule data
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
  • Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules
  • Strong understanding of schedule logic, constraints, activity durations, sequencing, and resource availability
  • Experience evaluating schedule delays and design changes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with cross-functional project teams
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and passport
  • Willingness and ability to travel 70%+

  • Experience working directly with owners, GCs, A/E firms, subcontractors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Experience presenting schedule updates, metrics, and statistical reports to clients and management
  • Strong risk-management and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with resource-loaded schedules and performance tracking
  • Experience integrating detailed schedule fragments and adjusting project sequencing
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and client-facing communication skills
  • Experience identifying process improvements and implementing innovative scheduling methodologies or technologies
