Job description

Develop and maintain platform infrastructure and optics software for Cisco 8000 Series routing platforms. Design system-level software in C, debug Linux/Unix systems, and troubleshoot issues across software, hardware, optics, and networking layers. Collaborate with engineering teams and contribute to testing, code reviews, and defect resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain platform infrastructure software for Cisco 8000 Series routing platforms.
  • Develop and integrate software for optics and optical interfaces.
  • Design and implement system-level software in C with attention to memory management and performance.
  • Work with Linux/Unix services, processes, memory, IPC, and low-level system interfaces.
  • Debug issues across platform software, operating systems, hardware, optics, and networking interfaces.
  • Contribute to code reviews, unit and integration testing, regression activities, and defect resolution.
