Job Description

The Quality Assurance Technician will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final products.

2nd shift: 3:30 pm- 12:00 am M-TH, 3:00 pm -11:00 pm FRI

Pay: $19-22 based on experience

Job location: Racine, WI

Job type: Temp-to-hire

Duties and Responsibilities:

 The Quality Assurance Technician will conduct testing during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Perform visual and precision inspections of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods for inaccuracies, defects, general workmanship and dimensional tolerances per specifications.

·         Document inspection results in predefined formats, maintaining easily retrievable information if customer requests information.

·         Make decisions by following established procedures if a quality concern arises and effectively communicate the issue to the line leader, shift leader and plant manager.

·         Be alert for safety concerns and report any incidents or near misses that may affect safety, health or the environment.

·         Acquire and continuously update knowledge of operations and equipment, instrumentation, operation processes, etc.

·         Prepare and/or create documents and materials in a timely manner for internal/external communications regarding quality concerns.

·         Main and update accurate departmental procedure manuals.

·         Help as needed with preparing any production daily paperwork.

·         Cross train to work as a back-up to other members of the production team.

·         Perform any other duties as assigned.

·         Bilingual strongly preferred (English/ Spanish)

Education and Experience:

·         High school diploma, technical school education or equivalent required; mathematical emphasis preferred.

·         2+ years of previous experience in a quality support capacity in a manufacturing setting.

·         Ability to work effectively under pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
