Job Description

GovCIO LLC seeks a Tactical Voice Engineer to design, secure, and optimize advanced VoIP and tactical voice solutions for federal customers. You'll architect and manage SIP, SBCs, gateways, and QoS across complex, mission-critical networks; harden systems to federal cybersecurity standards; and support cloud and hybrid UC platforms. In this collaborative, mission-driven culture, you'll troubleshoot high-impact incidents, automate deployments, document runbooks, and guide modernization while growing your skills through training, mentorship, and exposure to modern tools and large-scale programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain secure Vo
  • IP and tactical voice systems supporting federal missions
  • Implement and manage call routing, SIP trunks, SBCs, gateways, and Qo
  • S across complex networks
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve voice performance, latency, and reliability issues in real time
  • Harden voice infrastructure with encryption, access controls, and compliance to federal security standards
  • Automate deployments and configurations using scripts and infrastructure-as-code where possible
  • Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and cloud teams on integrated solutions and incident response
  • Document architectures, configurations, runbooks, and standard operating procedures
  • Support implementation of cloud-based and hybrid UC/Vo
  • IP platforms
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide escalated support for critical voice incidents
  • Advise stakeholders on voice technology roadmaps, capacity planning, and modernization initiatives
