Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Operation Technician to support critical AWS cloud infrastructure. In this role, you'll monitor and maintain servers, networking equipment, and facility systems in AWS data centers, troubleshoot incidents, and perform hardware replacements and change activities. You'll use monitoring tools, follow runbooks, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Responsibilities

  • Monitor AWS data center systems, servers, and networks to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, and network incidents following established runbooks.
  • Perform hardware installations, replacements, and routine maintenance on infrastructure equipment.
  • Use monitoring and ticketing tools to track incidents, changes, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement improvements and changes safely.
  • Follow security, safety, and compliance standards within the data center environment.
  • Document procedures, incident resolutions, and infrastructure changes accurately.
  • Participate in on-call rotations or shift work to provide 24/7 operational coverage.
