System Administrator based in Tewksbury, MA, internally known as Analyst, Information Workplace Services collaborate and support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment while providing responsive and professional technical support to end users, troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, account, and connectivity issues.
• Manage assigned incidents and service requests through a ticketing system, taking ownership through resolution while delivering a positive customer experience through clear communication, timely status updates, effective prioritization, and thorough documentation.
• Apply knowledge of Windows Server or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication methods.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment, using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of varying scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain system security and compliance requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation and provide training on IT processes and procedures as required.
• Obtain applicable Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within six months of the start date.
• Support systems operating 24x7, which may occasionally require work outside standard business hours.
• Travel to other U.S. domestic locations as business needs dictate, up to 10% annually.
• This is a full-time, 100% onsite position.

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain Interim U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience with Windows or Linux operating systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience providing technical support or customer service in a help desk, service desk, desktop support, or similar environment, with familiarity using ITSM processes and ticketing platforms such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with or exposure to system patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance activities.
• Experience with VMware virtualization technologies, including ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle management, and host upgrades.
• Experience with enterprise Windows services and deployment technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, identity integration, MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, OS imaging, and automated software deployment frameworks.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and compliance tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, STIG Viewer, and audit support processes.

This position is classified as: Onsite : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid or remote. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
