Senior Software Engineer / Back end developer

An innovative technology company is seeking a full-time Platform Engineer to serve as a key technical leader within its U.S. engineering organization. In this role, you'll help drive cloud infrastructure strategy, improve developer productivity, and advance AI-powered software development practices across the company.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of software engineering through AI. As a core member of the platform team, you'll play a significant role in building an agentic AI software development lifecycle, where AI agents assist engineers throughout the development process. You'll work at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, developer experience, and emerging AI technologies while influencing how teams build, deploy, and operate software at scale.

Required Skills & Experience
6+ years of software development experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Strong experience with at least one of the following: Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or Bash
Experience designing and leading technical projects
Experience working in cloud-native environments
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Passion for AI technologies and developer productivity

Desired Skills & Experience
CI/CD experience, particularly Jenkins
Infrastructure-as-Code experience Kubernetes and containerization experience
Experience with developer platforms and portal technologies such as Backstage
Familiarity with observability tools, monitoring, logging, and tracing
Experience with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, npm, or nx
Software testing and automation experience
