Inspector I

Cox Automotive is seeking an Inspector I to support its telecommunications- and media-enabled automotive marketplaces. In this role, you'll perform detailed inspections of vehicles and related media systems, capturing accurate condition reports, photos, and data used across Cox brands like Manheim and Autotrader. You'll review mechanical, cosmetic, and structural conditions, follow safety and quality standards, and use digital tools to document findings. Collaborating with operations and sales teams, you'll help ensure buyers and sellers trust the information powering Cox's innovative automotive platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of vehicles to assess mechanical, cosmetic, and structural condition
• Capture accurate digital condition reports, photos, and related media for use across Cox Automotive platforms
• Use inspection tools, checklists, and software to document findings consistently and completely
• Verify vehicle identification, options, mileage, and disclosures for compliance and accuracy
• Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards during all inspections and yard movements
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to resolve inspection-related questions
• Prioritize inspection workflow to meet service-level timelines and auction or listing schedules
• Identify and escalate unusual conditions, potential safety issues, or suspected fraud
• Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and digital tools through feedback
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, equipment, and vehicle staging zones
