Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of ruggedised hardware systems engineered for remote operation, and demanding environments.

You’ll be involved throughout the full product lifecycle — from concept and detailed design through to prototyping, testing, validation, and production — helping deliver complex mechanical systems that perform reliably under severe thermal and mechanical stress.

What we’re looking for:

• Industry experience developing hardware for demanding or extreme environments
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong experience taking mechanical products from concept through to production
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar PDM-managed environments
• Strong knowledge of DfMA, materials selection, thermal considerations, and structural/mechanical design
• Hands-on experience building, prototyping, and testing hardware within multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Experience with environmental testing, thermal chambers, or harsh-environment validation
