We are seeking an experienced and outstanding Azure Cosmos DB Developer / Engineer for one of our esteemed clients.

Role: Azure Cosmos DB Developer / Engineer

Location: Phoenix AZ

Duration: Long term

• Design and develop solutions using Azure Cosmos DB.
• Create and manage databases, containers, items, partition keys, and indexes.
• Design appropriate partitioning strategies for high-volume workloads.
• Optimize RU/s consumption, query performance, and database throughput.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for Cosmos DB.
• Configure consistency levels, TTL, indexing policies, and throughput.
• Work with Cosmos DB APIs, such as: NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Gremlin
• Table
• Implement data modeling strategies for large-scale NoSQL applications.
• Configure global distribution and multi-region replication.
• Monitor Cosmos DB performance using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and diagnostic logs.
• Troubleshoot latency, throttling, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Implement backup, restore, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
• Integrate Cosmos DB with Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, Event Grid, Service Bus, and other Azure services.
• Develop secure database access using Managed Identity, RBAC, and Azure Key Vault.
• Support data migration from relational and other NoSQL databases to Cosmos DB.
• Participate in development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Required Skills:

• 11 years of database development/engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cosmos DB.
• Strong understanding of NoSQL database architecture.
• Experience with: Partition keys, Indexing, RU/s, Consistency levels, Change Feed, TTL Global distribution
• Strong SQL/query development experience.
• Experience with Azure cloud services
