Job Description

 

Johnson Law Group is a fast-growing, client-focused legal practice built on collaboration, precision, and professionalism. We're seeking a reliable and organized Mail Clerk to join our Houston team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in their career, whether you’re a recent college graduate or looking for your first full-time role in a professional setting.

We’re open to training the right individual who brings a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and professional demeanor. This is a fully in-person position based in the Upper Kirby area of Houston.

What You’ll Do

  • Open, sort, scan, and route all incoming mail and documentation
  • Process outgoing mail via FedEx, USPS (certified), and other methods
  • Create and manage both electronic and physical file folders
  • Download and maintain electronic medical records in our CRM
  • Support large mailing projects, including mail merges, document coding, and Acrobat forms
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with purging and archiving physical files
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Coordinate with internal teams on document logistics and process improvements

What You’ll Need (Must-Haves)

  • Professional appearance and dependable attendance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to multitask, follow procedures, and work independently
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word

Nice to Have (Preferred but Not Required)

  • Experience with Acrobat form setup
  • Familiarity with Docrio or similar document management systems
  • Prior experience in a law firm or high-volume office setting
