Job Description

Seeking a Python Developer to support an enterprise financial forecasting platform within Freddie Mac's Investments & Capital Markets organization.

The developer will enhance forecasting engines, modernize existing financial accounting applications, improve performance and scalability, and support critical quarterly/yearly production runs used for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based financial applications.
• Modernize existing components and reduce technical debt.
• Enhance forecasting engine functionality and performance.
• Support production runs and troubleshoot application issues.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate across data, API, services, and infrastructure teams.
• Support infrastructure upgrades and platform migrations.
• Work with FP&A and stakeholders on forecasting and scenario analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation.

Preferred

• Financial forecasting/accounting experience
• GAAP knowledge
• Fixed income concepts
• CFA / FRM / CPA
• JIRA
• Quantitative graduate degree
• Financial services experience
