Mumps Developer (VistA) with Security Clearance

Mumps Developer (VistA) Remote Remote Blu Omega is seeking a Mumps Developer with VistA experience to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) healthcare systems. This role is responsible for modifying legacy MUMPS code within the existing VistA environment to enhance healthcare applications. • Design, develop, test, and maintain MUMPS-based applications and software systems.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application and production issues.
• Develop enhancements and new functionality for healthcare and enterprise applications.
• Support modifications to existing MUMPS routines, understanding global/data structures, FileMan/VistA architecture, dependencies, and downstream impacts.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to code reviews and sprint planning.
• Mentor junior developers and share technical knowledge to improve team capabilities. Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of hands-on MUMPS software development experience.
• Experience supporting VA VistA or similar Veterans Affairs healthcare systems.
• Strong understanding of MUMPS architecture, globals, and FileMan.
• Ability to modify existing MUMPS routines with a focus on legacy code changes.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and integrating MUMPS applications with modern systems.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
